This number is actually Capital One in Texas. They think threats will help them collect money owed to them.

Received the same vm. called back told them the call was being recorded and 1st guy hung up on me. Called back, told the 2nd guys it was being recorded and that my hubby worked for IRS (not but said it)- he said "great news, you and your husband are going to jail for 20 years" than hung up on me. called back - 3rd guy told him the same thing & said that i had been hung up on 4 times and he said "oh maam, you mean like this" and hung up. THIS IS SUCH A CROCK! kept calling back from different numbers but now i can't even get through.

972 581 0212 Just called me today claiming they were from a Federal Court. No case number or information related to any legal procedure. Just hate scammers.

Received call from 972-581-0212 with very very scary message "this is department of US treasury...you must call back or you will be prosecuted...", TOTAL SCAM of course, so turned off my phone ID and called back, somehow the guy still knew who I am. He sounded very official "this is department of US treasury", I sad no you are not and you should go and f__k yourself d__k head, then he switched to total indian accent bla bla bla.. I called him bunch of times after from various internet numbers and annoyed the living crap out of him by asking to talk to Mr. d__k head. Lets annoy those scammers by calling them on it.

Received the same call, They called & said they are from "The US Treasury Department" however I told them that this is "The US Treasury Department" federal line & they hung up quickly. Don't mess with America, We will destroy you...

The scammer called me this morning and left a voice mail. Said he was from the US Treasury with the same threats as other callers have experienced. The accent was odd, as some words had an Indian one, while others seemed Russian. Made me laugh, but agree these predators need to be shut down.

Yes, I got the same threatening call, recorded on my answering machine. It's comical in my case, but I know there are vulnerable people who will be genuinely upset by such a call, and feel obligated to return the call. It's surprising to me that with so much visibility, the source hasn't been shut down yet.

They have called my house twice today. At first when I heard the message I was concerned because they mentioned a lawsuit... then I plugged the phone number into Google and found this site. Sounds like a scam to me!

They also called me today and left a message. Could hardly understand what he was saying. Used the threat of jail time. Threatened law suit too. Glad I went to this site to see the other comments seemed similar.
