Best advice is to allow all unknown calls to go to voicemail. Why? Because the caller can record and edit your voice to prove you agreed to pay what they asked. Unless you have a recording of the call, how can you prove otherwise?

I've had this number calling me saying I owe money to a hospital.

i got a call from them to collect a debt and then when I called my provider he verified that its a legitimate agency

Received this call again. Same recording saying they are Ocshner, I dialed the "1" this time. Someone came on and asked "how can I assist you today?" I said, "I don't know you called me." He knew my name and he accessed my records, Asked for my birth date to verify it was me. He told me I had a balance and wanted to know if I wanted to take care of it today. I knew it wasn't past due, it was due on the 19th. I told him I will take of it online before that date. He didn't sound too pleased with my answer but told me thank you and hung up.

On my bill, the customer service number is 800-343-0269.
So I am not sure that it is Ocshner that is actually calling.

This number kept calling me today, so I finally decided to answer it, to get it to stop. It was a recorded message from Ochsner 's Hospital in New Orleans., telling me to call back the number or dial 1 to talk to a representative. I find that was a kind of strange message and I didn't call back.
