debt collection - in my case, trying to collect on a debt that is not mine. Called the idiots back and they won't even discuss without me disclosing my full address-- that request seems pretty scammy since the debt they are calling about isn't mine.

Every time I call them back I get transferred to a voice mail and every time the message is different Most of them me that they are sorry they couldn't transfer my call... If feel a bit strange leaving a voice mail with what my number is Home, Work, Cell. What my account number is?? I have been trying to get in touch with this company for over a week. I can't get an account number if no ones answers. And I wont give a credit card over the phone. I have not received any bills or letters from them or a collection company. I have a bad feeling this is a scam.

These people keep calling my phone and they dont say anything. i let the line open for 5 min and not one word.

Reports from other outlets state a debt collector, a bad one. best to blacklist this number.

They called me and the first things they asked for were my date of birth and social security number...scam! I hung up right away.

Called three times, ten minutes apart. I answered on third call, usually don't answer unidentified calls. They asked for me by name, said they were "medicredit" and I owed ... then line started beeping repeatedly and I hung up. I don't owe anybody any money. This is a scam. I called the number back, company never identified by name. I've paid all my medical bills on time. Don't send them money without documentation that you've checked against your own records!

calls every few days

The company is medicredit. They're a collection agency. I just received a call from them, didn't answer, checked the number and called back. The lady I spoke to was polite and helpful. She explained what I owed and to whom. To my knowledge I've paid all my bills so I asked for paper copies of whatever they think is outstanding to check against my own records. I'm assured they are on the way now.

Here's the thing, as much as I hate the US healthcare system, you have to pay your bills. Don't ignore calls from this number. If they are chasing money you don't really owe you're going to have to take that up with whoever passed them your details. Unfortunately America doesn't have a single-payer healthcare system, so if you got medical treatment, you have to pay for it.

This was from a collection agency; I've been working with them over the past seven months due to lost paperwork from a hospital stay, but today was the first time they called *me*. Every interaction I've had with their agents has always been pleasant and non-confrontational- perhaps mine is a rare exception, but I've never tried to weasel out of paying my bill.
