I am a long-time Rite Aid customer. This is in fact their automated "reminder" line which leaves messages for customers when their orders are filled. If you receive a call from them when you are not a customer, just call your nearest Rite Aid store. Someone there will be able to track down the number and remove it from their system, or hopefully correct the phone number for their genuine customer who did not receive the call.

Just recieved this call saying your prescription is ready for picking up. I've never heard about this Rite Aid before.

I do use Rite Aid Pharmacy and this is a courtesy call reminding you that your precscription is ready or that there has been an important change.

Several times a day I will get a call from 717-731-9203. It is a SPAM auto message supposedly from Rite Aid Pharmacy stating my "prescriptions are ready for pick-up" I do not use nor have I ever used Rite Aid for my prescriptions. When I try to call the number back to ask them to stop calling me I get the message "This Number is no longer in service" It's obviously a scam and I am weary to the bone of getting calls from these "people" all hours of the day and night - sometimes as many as 10 calls in an hour. Can't someone do something about this?

This is the automated Rite Aid Pharmacy courtesy call notification number, used for notifying customers their prescriptions are ready. Unfortunately, if you have seven prescriptions filled simultaneously and each is ready at the same time you will receive seven calls. Requesting your pharmacy disable this courtesy is all one need do to stop receiving calls.

This is definitely a SCAM. I called Do not call Gov and they put a STOP to them calling Me.

Yes. This is an automated call from Rite Aid Pharmacy notifying that a prescription is ready for pickup. It's legit. I have never received repeated attempts to contact me from the number. One call.

This $ keeps calling Mr back to back. They called 7 times in a row! I reported it to Do Not Call Gov, this is definitely a SCAM. So please don't give them ANY
"PERSONAL INFORMATION"!

I've long been receiving automated notifications saying a prescription for "James D**** " is ready for pickup. But that is not my name. I finally grew tired of the calls and found this useful website. I phoned RiteAid customer service at 800-748-3243. ( = 800 RITEAID ) . Spoke with a rep named Cathy. She asked me my phone number (which they already obviously had), then she promptly removed me from the auto-notification list. She was thorough and checked several different areas within the RiteAid computer system that could possibly generate the notifications, including a "Wellness Plus" area. I never was asked my name, and I never gave it to her. She was friendly, courteous, and even apologized for the error. You can easily put an end to these notifications. It's not a scam. In my case, James D**** had my cell phone number at sometime in the past, then cancelled his service. Verizon wireless re-assigned it to me when I signed up as a new customer with them a couple years ago. RiteAid still thought they were dialing HIM. Simple mistake, no scam.

I have received several calls from this number recently. I don't do business with Rite-Aid, nor have I in the past. I called the number back and the message said, "The number you have dialed is not in service, please check the number and dial again" THIS IS NOT A LEGITIMATE RITE-AID NUMBER! This is someone posing as Rite-Aid, probably to phish for information.

And a previous poster's suggestion that an employee is entering phone numbers manually each week is nonsense! Their system doesn't work that way. The posts by people that suggest they're in the know, defending these calls, are probably the same people making the calls.

This IS a SCAM! Don't be fooled!

The consumer has been receiving “dead air” calls from 717-731-9203. The number is always the same, however when the consumer calls the number back it either rings and rings or it says disconnected or no longer in service. During a three way call Verizon traced the caller back to a Granit Communications out of Hampton, PA. The rep from Granit Communications got smart with the Verizon employee and hung up on them. The consumer has no idea who Grant Communications is.

I seem to receive 3-5 calls per day for a prescription for another person...can't call them back.... Very irritating. Wish they would get it together or pay my phone bill.

This phone is just an automated number and if you recieved it, it's likely you do have photos at a Rite Aid location, your number is on an envelope, could be a spouse or child, just call your local rite aid and give them your last name, some of these orders could be several years old as well and it's a new way of alerting customers that photos have been processed and ready to pick up. The associates enter the envelopes on a weekly basis until these are picked up. If you have moved or live no where near a rite aid you can call the 1-800-riteaid # and have them look up what store is entering the phone number. You can also ask to be blocked from this service as well. Because people not machines are entering these numbers each week, they may mistype, or cannot make out the handwriting and could be dialing your number by accident. The system is set up to only make calls during business hours so there should not be any calls made "at all hours of the night" The number is based out of the corporate headquarters which is in Camp Hill, PA which has a 717 area code. You cannot call the number back it will be busy because it is a generic number.

I got 8 phone calls from this number this week. When I don't answer they do not leave a message.
