SCAM, trying to get sensitive info, wanted me to confirm an order that wasn’t placed. Don’t have an account with Macy’s.

macys collection

Caller: macys

I received a call from this number. It said Macy's credit and customer services center in Mason, OH. I did not answer as I was suspicious and I have never shopped at Macy's. I checked all of my credit statements and did not find any fraudulent charges. I don't know if it was a legitimate call or not. My phone gave me the following address in the call details: 9111 Duke Blvd, Mason, OH 45050, USA. My phone also gave me the following website which I have checked using VirusTotal URL scanning service: https://www.macysinc.com/contact-us/reach-us/default.aspx.

I received a call today and they said that they were calling to confirm that I made a purchase from Bloomingdale's. I told her that I did not and she asked me if I had a credit card ending in xXxX. I told her that I'm not verifying any personal card info with her but note that I didn't make a purchase from Bloomingdales. We checked our credit card where there was a $300+ pending charge which we immediately reported as fraud. I can't say whether or not this number is a scam but they did alert us to a fraudulent charge.

Caller: Bloomingdales

Someone used my credit card to make a $110.00 purchase from Bloomingdales and I never shop there or have an account with them. Luckily I check my bank account every day, caught the transaction and informed my bank to stop payment. Scam, this biotches!!!

I thought this was about a past due bill, but I also thought I did not owe Macy's so I kept ignoring it. Then I saw the comments and I knew it was not for me. BLOCKED IT!!!as in HATED IT lol

Tried to get personal info to give out prize money

Received call from Macy's asking if a large order placed using my VISA card was in fact authentic. As it turned out, it was a fraudulent purchase which, thanks to Macy's fraud department, I was able to cancel and the person did not get the $995 jewelry item he/she ordered on my VISA. The only scamming going on was the lowlife who stole my credit card information and made a large purchase. Thank you Macy's!

Caller: Macy's

I don't consider this spam, it was Macy's confirming that I had placed an online order for a gift card. It was a GOOD customer service call.

Said Bloomingdales ... scam.

Trying to get information from you.

This call is NOT Macy's. They called me 3 times for my card number to "get started on my account." This alerted me to call Macy's. I did spend anything. They said that purchases were made from Dewari, India (I think). They already spent almost $200 on my account. Then they call back to get my card number. Please, if you get this calls like this, hang up and call the number on the back of your card.

It was an automated call saying it was from Macy's and asking that I return their call, but did not ask for anyone by name. If it was legitimate, they would have known my name.

3/4/2016. Answered wanted my credit card number and the last four of my social security number..didn't give it to them. Then they asked for Jennifer...I'm not jennifer. Answered again, couldn't understand what she was saying not even sure if she was speaking English.

Caller: Macy's

Always automated message saying to call macys about my account.

Caller: Macys

Apparently they called to say I had a balance overdue - never had account with them!

Returned the call posing as the daughter of aging mother who did not have a macys card and who did have perfect credit. After asking numerous questions she pin pointed the problem to an old associate from years ago. I suggest you turn the tables and ask the name on the account she is calling for or any other information without giving out any numbers7

Called Macys my account was NOT past due. This is not a legitimate number. If you answer 1-800-511-3207, they will ask for account # and SS. DO not give any info. Macys said they would Not ask for this information if they call you. If you try to call the number 1-800-511-3207 back.. it will have a recording "this is not a working number".

Caller: Macys

Get many calls everyday and no message. This is a scam.

I got seven calls just yesterday - some on other days. I don't usually don't answer 1-800 calls if a name doesn't appear. What can I do to stop these annoying calls?

Is there someone to contact at Macy's.

This number is from a third party collection agency

collection for someone else

Caller: Macys?

This number is the Macy's Credit Card debt collection center. Their automated system is overzealous and poorly designed. I continued to receive calls even after I paid my balance in full and had to ask the representative to update my status in their system so that the calls would stop. If you are receiving calls from this number it is because Macy's thinks you owe them money.

Caller: Macy's

robocaller calling themselves Macy's and asking you to call back 8005113207
