I have gotten two calls like this, claiming I have a "problem" with my computer. I told them to "hang on just a minute" and set the phone down for several minutes. I came back on the phone, told them my computer was just fine, I had just checked them out, and I knew they were scammers. Then I hung up.

They called when I was on the phone (it showed up on my caller ID as Kennetth D Brown 304-743-8823) which I did not answer and then after that, another call came though as 582-2264, with no area code listed. I was not on the phone at the time of the second call, so I did answer this call and like the others stated above, lot's of noise in the background and a heavy asian accent telling me they were getting information sent to them about malicious information based on the windows software I was using.

Caller ID showed "Kenneth Brown." Heavy Asian accent with noise like a call center in the background. I interrupted his "speech" telling him the phone quality was poor and I couldn't understand him. He just continued on like I'd not said anything at all! Then I told him I already had friends at work with the government that I rely on to help me with my home PCs! Lastly, I told him I didn't appreciate getting phone calls after 10 pm! He finally hung up.

What a hoot…Just received a call from this number. I knew it had to be spam but I engaged the caller (with a very heavy accent.) He said he was calling about my windows computer that I have registered with his software company. I think they were trying to scare and confuse me but I think I confused them. They eventually hung up. Never got the chance, though its none of their business, but I don't use "windows" computers..ha ha. I suggest you block, don't answer or better yet answer and hang up on these idiots!

First call was from a 'private caller', and every other time was from this number, but no name on the caller I.D. A man with an Indian accent called, could hear lots of talking in the backround so it sounded like a call center, and the man claimed to be calling from Google. Then he immediately started saying "I'd like to kiss you, ma'am." multiple times. I honestly didn't think I heard him right, and said, "excuse me??". He responded with, "I'd like to kiss you, ma'am. -K-I-double S-, kiss. I'd like to kiss you, ma'am." I told him not to call anymore and hung up. Called right back, when I informed him I was going to call the police. He said, "yes please, ma'am, call the police." I hung up again and he proceeded to call back (and I ignored it) about 5 times in a row. Very creepy, I suggest you block this number.

"Kenneth Brown" just called me this morning I asked the poor schmuck (strong asian accent of some sort and it sounded like he was in a call center) for the name of the company and he finally said american software company. I then asked him where it was located and he gave me a South Carolina street address. I found an American Software Inc company on the google search and told him it was actually a Georgia address that I found for the company. He promptly hung up.

"TeamViewer and similar services have been used to commit fraud via telephone calls. People are called, either at random or from a list, by criminals claiming to represent a computer support service which has identified the victim's computer as being infected by malware, sometimes using the name of a company such as Microsoft. They then ask the victim to give them access to their computer via a remote control service. From this point they can do anything they want. Typically they confuse the user with spurious jargon and offer to "repair" the computer and supply several years' of service for a payment; in addition to a freely offered agreed payment, this gives them the victim's payment card details. They may also infect the computer with malware, delete files, and steal files."
