I received a call from a number that popped up as IRS- US Government. They stated that I owed $2,892.00 and that there was an IRS agent (accountant) and the local police being sent to my residence to arrest me for not paying my taxes. He went on to read codes 1952-OOCR and read an affidavit with three criminal counts. My case ID was s4c5593. They claimed this was all because my taxes weren't filed on time. They threatened to levy my bank accounts and told me the money was considered stolen by me. While I was on the phone I looked the IRS scam site and asked the questions required. The first caller said that his name was Roy Miller and seemed to have a foreign accent. He sent me to another person who was supposed to be my case agent and security. His name was Thomas Wright also with a foreign accent. I asked for a agent ID and he gave me the number 562193. I asked for a call back number and he gave me the number 706-494-9079. He wanted to know how much I had in my accounts which he was supposedly checking and wanted me to pay today to avoid arrest which was supposedly a favor for my cooperation. They are going to call back tomorrow at 10:30am to get the entire amount.

I received the call as well. Exact same scenario. I asked for their names and was told their names Roy Miller and Thomas Wright which seemed strange since they both had foreign accents. They appeared to be Indian or Pakistani or something of that nature. They are supposed to call me back tomorow. Could be interesting.

A gentleman with a heavy Indian accent called claiming to be with the US Department of Treasury. He stated that the I.R.S. has put out a warrant for my arrest due to unpaid Federal Taxes. He used a very threatening tone and transferred the call to another person who he claimed would be the officer in charge of my case. This other person also had an Indian accent and asked me why I have been ignoring mail from the IRS delivered at my doorstep. He wanted to know who had prepared my Tax Returns in recent years, or if they had been self-prepared. At this moment I realized it could be a case of deceit, since the Tax forms themselves show whether the return is self-prepared or done by a professional; and the IRS would obviously know that. I informed the man I would call the IRS myself to check on the matter, and asked his name. At this point he simply hung up. The call came from (706)-494-9079, which upon calling, I learned through its outgoing greeting that it belongs to this address: 6068 Business Park Drive, Columbus, GA 31909-5592.

this number about IRS from a Jason Davis is a scam. he was from the IRS service and I would be arrested within 30 minutes as all my assets seized after he said that I hung up the phone...

Received a call from a man calling himself Jason Davis the IRS claiming that I am named as a suspect in a criminal investigation. When asked to repeat his name he hanged up. Please everyone out there, let it be known that the IRS does not imitates calls to taxpayers.

I received a call saying that they had a criminal lawsuit against me and asked if the local police called me. Then I blocked it.

Scam call from "Georgia Office of IRS". Scam claiming tax and penalties for not responding to previous letters. Scam callers featured in local news reports.

I got a call yesterday and today from this number. They did not leave a message. I looked it up and it seems to be a IRS local office in the state of Georgia. I'm nowhere near Georgia. I suspect it's a scam of some sort.

we got the same call today too. I looked up on the IRS website that the IRS almost never contacts via phone. It is possible that a caller was able to mask his phone number on caller ID with the IRS number.

I just received a phone call from this number claiming itself as IRS rep that I never responded to the "several" letters they sent to me which I have never received. Google search of the number says this number is a legit IRS office. The man had a heavy accent. I am incredulous that I am the first one making entry about this call.
