This call is NOT Macy's. They called me 3 times for my card number to "get started on my account." This alerted me to call Macy's. I did spend anything. They said that purchases were made from Dewari, India (I think). They already spent almost $200 on my account. Then they call back to get my card number. Please, if you get this calls like this, hang up and call the number on the back of your card.

It was an automated call saying it was from Macy's and asking that I return their call, but did not ask for anyone by name. If it was legitimate, they would have known my name.

Returned the call posing as the daughter of aging mother who did not have a macys card and who did have perfect credit. After asking numerous questions she pin pointed the problem to an old associate from years ago. I suggest you turn the tables and ask the name on the account she is calling for or any other information without giving out any numbers7

Called Macys my account was NOT past due. This is not a legitimate number. If you answer 1-800-511-3207, they will ask for account # and SS. DO not give any info. Macys said they would Not ask for this information if they call you. If you try to call the number 1-800-511-3207 back.. it will have a recording "this is not a working number".

I got seven calls just yesterday - some on other days. I don't usually don't answer 1-800 calls if a name doesn't appear. What can I do to stop these annoying calls?

Is there someone to contact at Macy's.

This number is the Macy's Credit Card debt collection center. Their automated system is overzealous and poorly designed. I continued to receive calls even after I paid my balance in full and had to ask the representative to update my status in their system so that the calls would stop. If you are receiving calls from this number it is because Macy's thinks you owe them money.

Macy's business proposal. What they wanted was my account number. This was the 5th call and I asked , more and more emphatically, to be taken off the automatic call list. Have blocked the number via Verizon.

This was a Macy's representative, she said I was past due on my account however, when she checked my account she noticed a pending payment already posted to the account, verified that it was the correct amount and then apologized for the call and said she'd note in my account for other reps not to call me. That was all, not a scam. I do think its a third party that Macy's pays to collect past due payments, and because they need you to verify it IS you before they start discussing you business, a lot of people think its a scam, when they called me regarding my account, they were accurate with my account information, which I did not say any thing about. Legit call.

Had same issue, didnt answer or call them back, but when I checked the accounts, the store card had a past due balance, not the credit card part of it. Paid it! Not sure if scam or not, but good thing I checked the account.

This is a collection agency for Macy's. I checked after reading these sites and I DID have a past-due balance on the store card part of the card, not the Amex part of the card. I had no idea :(
