Be Careful of This Type of Scam Call

A common scam call or robocall is called a "government scam". These calls are where a robocaller impersonates a real government agency with ill intent. They will tell you that you are wanted for a crime and will oftentimes ask you to wire them money. The most common government scam call is where the caller pretends to be an employee of the IRS, and they will tell you that you must pay taxes now, or else you will be arrested. They will tell you to wire their bank account money, or else they will send the police department to arrest you immediately. These calls will seem very realistic, as they will know your legal name, address, and social security number. Other agencies that are impersonated frequently are the FBI, police departments, the Social Security Administration, and Medicare. You should not believe these calls, as government agencies will never ask you to wire their account money over the phone. If you are concerned it was truly the government agency calling you, you can look up the number of the agency and call them to confirm it was them.

They just called me saying I was a reference listed from a friend and asked if I still talked to them. Then asked me to have him return a call to them. I had to Google to see the company is a collection agency. I wonder if I get a % for collecting for them! HA! No other calls so far besides this one. Hopefully that will be the last.

Please make them stop calling...They did this last year about this time and have started now. You cannot reach a live person without an account number or giving them your SSN (no Way!).

They call all hours of the day/night. I fo not have s car loan with them. I've asked several times to send something in writing to no avail

We just moved into a new apt. in November and were given a new phone number. No one has the number but somehow these people have it and call non-stop. We've spoken to a live person several times and have asked them to stop calling and they don't. This is harassment.

They've been calling for weeks now. I never answer because they always call when I'm in class, but they always leave the same message, that they want me to call back and they appreciate my swift action. I've never called back. Sounds like they're pretty presistant, is there a way to stop these annoying calls? I have no car loans and have never even heard of Sontag Air Consumer USA before.

This number keeps calling my cell phone, then today it left six (6) exact messages. I have no idea why this company is calling me. I have never heard of them. It leaves the message in English then Spanish.

I have had the same issue . I have no auto loan and no outstanding loans with anyone. The calls just started and keep comming and the person who answers is clueless.

i started getting calls from these people and now they call several times a day. i told them that i don't have a car loan and that i've had my number for over 2 years. they continue to call, suggesting that i know these people and are interfering with their collection attempts. moreover, they have used some cross referencing database to find my home number and are harassing me on my home phone dispite that my phones have completely different area codes. i rarely answer either of my phones anymore.

when i called back to have my number removed from their lists, some houchie started yelling at me and told me that i had to listen to her whole script before she would remove my number.
i just hung up. it's time to envoke the federal debt collections practice act.

repeat calls to cell and home with no information for reminder for call other than to contact them need a written notice of this call....repeat 2 to 3 times daily......this need to stop and written notice sent......

I don't even have an auto loan with ANYBODY! I can't get them to stop calling me! Over a 3 week time period, I have 32 calls from them. I have called back 6 times to try and get my # removed from their system and still they keep calling! To top it off - it is my cell phone these IDIOTS are calling!

I work at a business that receives 2+ calls a day from Sontond Air. This has been happening for quite some time on different shifts. When I called the telephone # they did not tell me way they were calling they wanted the last 4 of a ssn. It all sounds phony to me!

We receive a minimum of one call every single day from Sonton Air USA. They leave a voice mail message with no information, just a request for a return call. We don't have any outstanding unpaid bills and we haven't been able to get through to usu (i.e., date of birth, social security information). I truly believe this is a scam operation.

THey have been calling my cell phone for the last 2 weeks and asking for Brian. I have told them it is the wrong number and they say they will remove my number... still getting calls from them... I called their number and got a voice recording asking for account and SS numbers... sounds like a scam to me

They call 3 times a day. I told them I would pay at the end of the week. They then called back the next day. I called the numbers to get a rep and it always hangs up on me. This is bullshit! They called on sunday morning....WTF

They just called me and I didn't know who it was! From reading here, they must have my car loan now. The girl left a message and said the phone number so fast that she wasn't even able to pronounce the numbers. '888' sounded like eeeiiiight, 222 sounded like a stutter, and I barely caught the last four numbers.
She said she was calling to off me some services that may help me. Yeah, RIGHT!! These are collectors and they hate their job, so they are very unprofessional and as Dave Ramsey says, "their SCUM". lol DO NOT EVER pay them from your account or credit card!! Make them send it in writing, and it they say they can't, they're lying!!!

Thesecond call from this company this morning...do not know who the hell they are or what they want...asked to be removed...am told I will be removed from their calling list but still they call...it it keeps up will taike legal action....

Just called me on my land line with a recorded message, no sooner than I hand up they call on my cell, same recorded message. Have no idea who they are, caller id shows unknown
