Recieved unwanted text message in the middle of the night on both ATT cell phones last night. Does the Do Not Call List cover text messages?

Accordin to Verizon the do not call list should block txt messages too. I had them block this 562 number, then today received another similar mortgage related txt from a 323 number. They are sending it in a way that is hard to track. you'd have to let them call you to find out who they are.

I got the same text message - and I pay for text messages. When I tried to call back to tell them I'm on the do not call list and cut it out, the call would not go through! How do we stop this?? My daughter got three calls on her cell phone yesterday.

Unsolicited text - "Is your mortgage payment too expensive? Our loan modification program can lower your payments immediately. May we please give you a call?"

Same thing...and I don't even have a mortgage, I rent. I texted back with a very rudely worded message. How did they get my number?

I got SPAMMED too. What good is the National Do Not Call Registry if they do not inforce it!!!

I got a text message from this number as well talking about if I want to lower my mortgage and if they can give me a call.... didnt know solicitors could text you now!

This was a text msg. sent to my phone from 1-562-243-1945 asking if "They can lower my mortgage rates by doing a loan modification. Late on payments ok. No equity ok. May we give you a call?"
