Called today and disconnected after 3 rings. Check the id and call the number. Said is was for irs in Washington dc but I needed to call my local irs number. "IRS" called yesterday as well with a number for the Greater Christian Youth Organization. their message (after getting past their normal message) was that the people "using the number" were doing so illegally and were reported to the local authorities and the FBI.

The caller also gave me an address to make a payment. I googled the address. The location was the local Target.

These jerks have been calling me for months. I received a call today from a different number so I answered it because I thought it was from an order I had placed earlier. The caller threatened me, called me a liar, threatened to seize my property and freeze my bank accounts then told me if I hung up that he would contact the local police to have me arrested if I didn't go to a certain address and make the payment. They also told me that I was not to talk to anyone about this case or I would be thrown in jail. The numbers were 336-259-6353, 203-803-9000. They have called from Washington DC, North Carolina, Indiana & Missouri. The only thing I verified was my name. Nothing else. They are aggressive.

yes, this sucker steven rick called me today and was trying to scare me. I asked this to send a mail or call me in the evening, and hung me. These people needs to find a better things to do and enjoy life, not like this.

I recieved a call from same #.
He asked for my husband on my cell phone, when i asked who he was he said he was calling in reference to IRS tax invasion
I told him, my husband wasn't available and he should give me his information.
HE started with, this call is being recorded for federal purpose. any information will be used against you in tax invasion suit. I said ok
He gave me his name, steven smith, badge ID, my case #, identification #.
Repeated how the call was being recorded 3 times.
He asked if this is first time i am hearing of this, when I said yes, he told me, "maam you are lying, two different summons were delivered to your address."
I asked for the address where they were delivered, my address from 10 years ago.

Best Part, why I knew it was a scam...He said my husband's first name and my last name. I would hope a federal employee, would at-least get his name right.

The number 202-803-9000 came up as US Govt. The woman with an accent claimed she was from the IRS looking for Sheila. When I said no she asked for another person then she hung up.

Said they were from the IRS

Yes , i got a call from this number asking for my attorneys details and told me that i have done tax fraud.
