Usually its India, running crap like this,.They could be sitting in Toronto, it says Ancastor, where ever that is,.Scammers will try to get info,.hang up..Don't answer..

They are a collection agency working for the Ministry of Finance. They asked for me by name and when I identified myself they started asking for personal information like Date of Birth, Address and such. I told them I file tax returns yearly so the ministry should have all that on file. I dont have a student load and my taxes are in order so I wouldnt give them the info they were asking for

i received a phone call from this number. They said they were the Ministry of Finance and that there is an outstanding dispute from over 16 years ago that I owe money for. Apparently I owe money on an outstanding criminal conviction for a "Mischief under $5000.00" charge. I don't remember being charged by any officer, given any ticket or being told to go to court...The strangest part is that this apparently happened in Toronto yet they told me to contact a courthouse almost 3 hours away for any details. If the dispute is from a Toronto address, why would a courthouse 3 hours away process it or have all of the details

A woman with proper Canadian accent asked for my dead son. She refused to give me the reason for the call. She said she is from ministry of finance. When I asked her if she's from a government office she refused to answer. She insisted that I take a message for my son. I hung up. My son didn't have any student loans.

A lady called my number asking for my ex. She was very aggravated when I told her she had the wrong number. She would not tell me who she was. I do know he does not owe any type of student loans ! Seems suspicious to me. The number came up +1 289-789-1025

same thing. They Identified himself as calling from the ministry of finance asking for date of birth ect. The would not disclose why they were calling. Hubby got suspicious and hung up. Called number back and it said the company name was Aero?

They called and we said we wouldn't provide them with any information and they said they will contact the ministry ...

Caller sounded very suspicious and refused to identify themselves but wanted to know about someone at the residence. Sounded very much like a scam call. The phone number came up as "Confidential" on the name identification listing when the phone rang.

Called around noon but no one was responding on the other line for serveral seconds. When they did, they asked for me by name but wouldn't tell me what the call was regarding until I gave my birthdate. I said no thank you and hung up. area code search says it's from Unionville, Ontario. The caller seemed unprofessional and suspect.
