PNC robocall about "recent activity", and no, I don't have a card with them. Obvious scam call.

I called PNC Customer Service directly, and they did not recognize this number and believed it was a scam.

You are a scammer, too -- this isn't legit.

This is a scam. In fact if you google the number (800-225-5671) one of the hits is a PNC page on how to report fraud.

PNC has a page on their site specifically for how customers can protect themselves from Phone, Text and Email fraud.

This is a scam and all you have to do to prove it to yourself is go to the PNC.com website and look up the numbers associated to customer service. The number (800) 225-5671 is No Where to be found because it is a scam.

This is not a scam! It is PNC Bank confirming purchases made on your bank card. The call is automated but if you hang on long enough it will repeat the last 5 transactions that you made. You don't have to give out any personal details just confirm whether you mad those transactions or not. That's all.

Went up to PNC to speak with a rep to verify if this was a scam number after reading the mixed reviews on here and it’s not. She checked it in their system and it’s a valid PNC Card Loss Prevention/fraud protection line. I made a purchase but the company was based in Hong Kong and when purchases are processed in other countries they deny it until they verify its you or the company in question processes the transaction through a US bank server instead of their own. Just a safety measure to stop overseas scams.

This number has been reported many times as Scam. It IS a valid PNC number but the number is being spoofed- if you call the same # back, you actually get PNC Fraud Dept. ANYTIME you get a call that feels off or asks too many questions- HANGUP and call the # on the back of your card or go to a branch to talk to them directly! A number is spoofed when it shows up on your caller ID but IS NOT that number. A number is spoofed when you call it back and it rings to the actual owner of that number.

This is PNC Loss Prevention and Fraud Department. I do not know why the phone number is not listed anywhere on PNC's website. I called the customer service number on their website. The rep verified it was their Loss Prevention and Fraud Department. She connected me to them so they could verify a transaction from today that was from another country.

Scam caller, they called with my name and the last 4 digits of my card, but my bank said to ignore it because they've gotten reports of this number before being fraudulent.

Not a legit PNC #. Just go to pnc website and use the #’s there. This # is very convincing & will have your name & last 4 digits of your debit/credit card. Don’t fall for it!
